Perfect pitch

I have a confession to make. I have been trying to control it, but it still happens. Whenever a sound that resembles a pure tone strikes me in the wild, and I have company, I will promptly choose a note and say it confidently, "That’s an F sharp." This is normally followed by "Do you have perfect pitch?" To which I have always answered "Yes." And I keep this going, hoping one day someone says, "No, it was obviously a C," and I will hide inside forever.
